About Evangelist William Ezell
William Ezell was born in Newport News, VA, and raised in Chesapeake, VA. His family were members at Great Hope Baptist Church. One summer his parents sent him to summer camp with his church. That week he was under the preaching of God’s Word and the gospel. Thursday night at camp he was under conviction. He knew that he was lost and wanted Christ to save him. His counselor led him to Jesus Christ. Two years later at Vacation Bible School he surrendered his life to preach God’s Word.
William’s pastor would have an evangelist come in the spring and fall. When the evangelist came to town, it was the highlight of his week. He felt the Lord was leading him to this field. William went to the Bill Rice Ranch as a camper and nailed that decision down.
The Lord led William to Ambassador Baptist College to train for the ministry. His Junior year he was able to go back to the Bill Rice Ranch, not as a camper, but as a summer staff counselor. He was able to lead many junior boys and teens to Christ. He was a summer staff counselor for three summers. Upon graduation from Bible College the Lord led William back to the Bill Rice Ranch as a staff evangelist.
While at the Bill Rice Ranch, William met his wife Amy. They were married on September 12, 1998, in Michigan. They have been married for twelve years. During that time, the Lord added five precious children to their family. Will was born July 2, 2001, and is nine. Daniel was born June 27, 2003, and lived 16 hours and 40 minutes before the Lord carried him home to heaven on June 28, 2003. Jonathan is five and was born June 25, 2005. SarahRuth was born July 24, 2007, and is three. Rachel Kay joined the family on November 17, 2009.
The Ezells have been traveling for twelve years. Their heart’s desire is to see souls saved, Christians revived, and the pastor edified and encouraged. They praise the Lord for granting their heart’s desire in the ministry.
